The Red-Tailed Black Cockatoo is a relatively large cockatoo, with a distinctive yellow crest. Commonly found in wooded habitats, across the coast and inland regions of eastern, northern and southern parts of Australia. In many agricultural regions where crops prevail, the Sulfur Crested Cockatoo is considered a pest. Many have been kept as pets with reports that they can live up to 100 years in captivity. The adult male has a pair of bright red panels under his tail.
